Senior Fisheries and Aquatic
Scientist Primary responsibilities include: Planning, coordination, and
management of specific fishery and aquatic projects Field staff management and
logistics planning. Resource data compilation,
statistical analysis, and data interpretation Preparation of environmental impact
assessments, license applications, and technical reports Client briefings, resource agency
consultation, and participation in public meetings Minimum qualifications include: A Master’s Degree (B.S. with
extensive experience will also qualify) in aquatic biology, fishery science,
or closely related field Professional experience in the
design and implementation of fisheries studies such as stream habitat,
instream flow/PHABSIM, fish population, radio telemetry, and benthic
macroinvertebrate studies Demonstrated ability to work with
project teams, private clients, governmental agencies, and non-governmental
stakeholder groups Strong technical writing and oral
communication skills; basic computer skills (Microsoft Office products); and
some experience with computer modeling, GIS or statistical software Must be willing to travel
periodically The preferred applicant will have: Familiarity with federal regulatory
programs such as FERC hydro relicensing, NEPA, ESA, CWA, and California/local
environmental regulations Experience in the hydropower
industry Prior experience as a consultant,
especially in California and the western U.S. Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Work with a multidiscipline
engineering group providing technical services to the renewable energy
industry Desired Experience:
Operational support of power
generating stations
Design of power generation,
instrumentation and control systems for power production facilities
Generator specifications and
testing for new installations as well as upgrade of existing equipment
Protective relaying associated
with generation stations
Analyses and modeling of
auxiliary power systems (i.e., short circuit and load flow calculations)
Design and installation of
electrical system component upgrades for new or existing generating stations
or industrial facilities
5 years work experience in an
engineering consulting firm
Minimum qualifications:
BS in Electrical Engineering
from an accredited university
Professional registration as
EIT or PE in any US State or Canada
Strong written and verbal
communication skills
Proficiency with
PC applications including MS Office Suite
Demonstrated ability to
execute work with minimal supervision and direction
Ability to manage multiple
projects and assignments successfully
Field work and overnight
travel will be required. Responsibilities

A Master's Degree or Ph.D. (B.A./B.S. with extensive
experience will be considered) in anthropology, archaeology, history, or
closely related field
Minimum of five years experience for mid-level hire and 5
years experience for senior-level hire
Professional experience in the design and implementation of
cultural resources studies such as archaeological survey, testing and
evaluation, data recovery, and development of treatment and other cultural
management measures
Strong technical writing and oral communication skills;
basic computer skills (Microsoft Office products); experience/capabilities
with Geographic Information System (GIS) a plus
Must be willing to travel periodically The preferred applicant will have:
Familiarity
with federal, California, and local laws and regulatory processes such as:
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) hydroelectric relicensing study
requirements; National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)

Experience in the hydropower industry
Register of Professional Archaeologist (RPA) - certified or
certifiable
Demonstrated ability to work with project teams, private
clients, governmental agencies, and non-governmental stakeholder groups
Experience supervising project cultural staff
Ability to manage multiple assignments successfully
Primary responsibilities include: Planning, coordination, and management of specific
wildlife and other related terrestrial resource projects. Management and supervision of junior staff and logistics
planning. Resource data compilation, statistical analysis, and data
interpretation. Preparation of FERC licensing documents, environmental
impact assessments, technical reports, and study proposals. Client briefings, resource agency consultation, and
participation in public meetings. Minimum qualifications include: A Master’s Degree (B.S. with extensive experience will
also qualify) in wildlife biology, zoology, ecology, environmental science, or
closely related field. Professional experience in the design and implementation
of wildlife and related studies such as wildlife inventory surveys; dedicated
surveys for rare, threatened, and endangered animals, plants, and natural
communities; habitat assessments for wildlife; and wildlife and botanical
population studies. Demonstrated ability to work with project teams, private
clients, governmental agencies, and non-governmental stakeholder groups. Strong technical writing and oral communication skills;
basic computer skills (Microsoft Office products); and some experience with
computer modeling, GIS, or statistical software. Must be willing to travel periodically The preferred applicant will have: Familiarity with federal regulatory programs such as FERC
