Schaghticoke Rehabilitation

Schaghticoke Penstock and Surge Tank

DTA engineers performed a feasibility study to identify replacement alternatives for one 12-foot-diameter and four 6-foot-diameter penstocks and a surge tank that had experienced an in-service failure. The final design included two, 200 foot span, self-supporting river crossings, rehabilitation of the surge tank, and extensive slope remediation, including uplift relief wells.
