Haas-Kings River Project License Article Compliance Work

Haas-Kings River Project

On March 6, 2001, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued a new license to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) for the continued operation and maintenance of the Haas-Kings River Project  (HKRP). The new FERC license included several license articles requiring resource management plans to be prepared in consultation with the Forest Service and then filed with FERC.

Devine Tarbell & Associates, Inc.’s (DTA) staff was retained by PG&E to assist with the compliance of six of the articles included in the new FERC license.  These were the Recreation Survey and Report, the Recreation Facilities Implementation Plan, the Visual Resources Plan, the Fish and Wildlife Mitigation Plan, the Transportation System Management Plan, and the Fisheries Monitoring Plan.  DTA’s staff also conducted the aquatic survey work in the Fisheries Monitoring Plan with the Forest Service.
